Early Wednesday Morning
Have you ever wondered why there are no bookstores on our side of the city? Why the closest sense of commerce we have is comprised of drug, liquor, or maybe even "convenient" stores with sky high prices? Even a simple drive up Salem Ave. ignites within me a will to make a difference in my community. I feel the only way to illicit such change is by taking advantage of the economic opportunity via small business ownership.
I’m currently working in Corporate America at Procter & Gamble. I must say that the reality in which "these people" live is so different from the one I grew up in. Even today I get wide eyed looks when I say that I am from Dayton, and still choose to live here. It's frustrating and motivating all at once.
We appreciate that you have taken an interest in sharing your knowledge with us. I assure you that your message is not being taken lightly. Whatever we are able through accomplish through this venture will only be a catalyst for what's to come. The partnership that we have formed will continue to operate under principles of integrity and hard work. We just hope to gain as much knowledge as possible to make sure that the efforts we put into this are not in vain.
I'm looking forward to next week.
